Hi All,
Here is another selection of my scanned slides this time from the 1998 SBAC show.
This was the last of the September shows and the weather for the most part was suitably poor!
I begin with some arrivals.
Over long valley 2x F16.
Eurofighter support Luftwaffe F4 Phantom.
2 seat JAS39B Gripen.
BAC 1-11.
Percival Provost which was part of the historic weekend flying display.
Thai Boeing 777.
Tristar flying hospital.
A300 freighter conversion.
Tarom ATR42.
A300ST Beluga.
DERA 1-11 kitted out for the Eurofighter's radar trials.
C5 Galaxy on 18 runway through the screens that were put up much to the displeasure of the locals!!!
Now for some flying display shots from outside the airfield.
JAS39A Gripen.
Dornier 328J.
CMC Leopard.
Embraer combine ERJ135 & 145.
PZL M28 Skytruck.
Airbus A330.
A spirited display from a Global Express.
USAF C17A
Now some static shots.
This didn't fly in an Aerostar MiG21 Lancer.
Don't think this got anywhere Kazan ANSAT.
Now cancelled RAH66 Comanche.
Let 610G
Not a plane but still worthy of inclusion Thrust SST.
In the historic park the Fairey Ultralight.
Static only the MATS C121 Constellation.
A pair of MiG29s
In one of the halls Bell 427.
Microlight helicopter Intora Firebird.
The flying display
Hawk 200 in McClaren racing livery, it raced a car at the start of the weekends display.
Eurofighter Typhoon, this is the show that it was officially named.
Merlin HM1.
MiG29SMT.
A Dutch AF Fokker 60 flew by each day for some reason!
Rafale B '98 was the last time we had a Rafale at a SBAC
Dash 8 Q300.
IAR330 licensed built Puma.
IAR99 Soim.
Departing after Wednesdays flying display the prototype IAI Galaxy.
Some weekend historic items.
Canberra.
Hunter T7
Leaving on the Sunday for a trip to Australia I think. An Avro Avian III.
And a couple of departures to end with.
SU27.
EH101.
Hope you enjoy these.
Cheers for looking.
