I'm far from being expert in the use of flight-tracking programes but I think (just think, that's all) that UAE202 may be visible from this area today en route from the USA to Dubai. So far as I can ascertain, it should route from the Bristol area towards SAM then eastwards.
Timing - again, only an educated guess, but watch out from about 10 am...

Ohh yeeessss.... Great view of it from here as it passed Southampton, with D-AIKH just behind. First A380 we've seen other than at very low level..

Not so lucky in Frimley, too much cloud, the A380 had gone: That was LH487 A330-343X 39000Ft 518 Kts D-AIKH. A7-BAB turned NE at SAM , A6-EDA was at HAZEL before turning NE (so lower in the sky). Previous routing was more northerly we wait and see. I have a theory about the directional positioning of Airbus power plants (on the 340), so would be interested to see a picture of an A380 at high altitude.

From here (couple of miles NW of Blackbushe) the A380 wasn't far below the A330 visually. Guess that low cloud messed you about.
It should be fairly easy to obtain silhouettes of both aircraft to compare them I'd have thought??
