Due to visit UK shores on the 27 Jul 2017, is aircraft carrier USS George W Bush CVN77, it will be moored at Stokes Bay for a period of 6 days. The link below confirms this, seawaves.com/port-visits/ship-visits/ It will be involved in an exercise for at least two weeks after this, around the UK seas.

***Week 25 of Deployment 2017*** The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group is underway on its 3rd deployment, the second in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th and 6th fleet areas of responsibility. The GHWBCSG is comprised of the staff of Commander, Carrier Strike Group Two; USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77); the nine squadrons and staff of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8; Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 22 staff; guided-missile destroyers USS Laboon (DDG 58) and USS Truxtun (DDG 103); Mayport-based guided missile cruisers USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG-58) and USS Hué City CG-66; and Danish guided missile Frigate HDMS Peter Willemoes (F 362). CVW-8 includes Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-213 Blacklions; VFA-31"Tomcatters"; VFA87 Golden Warriors ; VFA - 37 Bulls; Electronic Attack Squadron 131 Lancers; VAW - 124 "Bear Aces"; HSM-70 Spartans; HSC-9 Tridents; and a detachment from VRC-40 Rawhides.

Noted on ADS-B and flying to and from Mildenhall (@ 18,000 feet) were two C2 Greyhounds 162159 c/s RG02 and 162148 c/s RG01 (162148 requires confirmation as it maybe 162168) both of VRC 40, they were both apparently at Stansted on the 26 Jul for a few hours.These will be regular over-flights while the carrier is in the UK vicinity.
