A late post but news nevertheless on the demise of AN74TK-100 UR-CKC (cn 36547095905) after a crash at São Tomé Island Airport.

The aircraft suffered multiple bird strikes during the takeoff roll on runway 29 (2190 m long). Both engines lost power and the flight crew aborted takeoff. The aircraft failed to stop on the remaining runway and went down an embankment, coming to rest next to the perimeter fence. The forward fuselage broke just in front of the wings. The thrust reverser on the no.1 engine was stowed and on the no.2 engine the reverser was deployed. There was no fire. Classification:
