From 2011 to 2013, the increase in large cabin aircraft moving through Farnborough increased by 40% says TAG Farnborough CEO Brandon O’Reilly.

According to CEO Brandon O’Reilly, TAG Farnborough Airport is a growing airport and is receiving more airliner sized business jets. Already well equipped and geographically positioned to handle larger aircraft, TAG Farnborough Airport is poised for a strong future.
What are the advantages of running a business aviation airport all under one roof, as TAG does, as opposed to subcontracting out?
We have invested in excess of £100 million in infrastructure development in order to provide state-of-the-art facilities and high quality services. Our airport is designed to offer our customers complete privacy, ease of access and bespoke services. The airport is a one-stop-shop for business aviation operators, TAG Aviation amongst others, offering hangar facilities, fuelling and cleaning services. We also have The Aviator Hotel conveniently located on-site.
As a result of this approach, we are well positioned for the future. With modern, advanced facilities and new services, we are able to cater for increased numbers of aircraft movements and to provide our customers with the services they expect from one of Europe’s leading business aviation airports.
Speaking of aircraft movements, are you seeing an increase?
The types of aircraft we see flying into Farnborough are becoming increasingly diverse, with more and more large aircraft coming through. Based on this ongoing trend, we predict a gradual return to growth in business aviation – and TAG Farnborough Airport is ready to accept this growth.
Can you expand on this trend towards larger aircraft?
From 2011 to 2013, the increase in large cabin aircraft moving through Farnborough increased by 40%. In 2013 alone, we saw an eight percent increase in aircraft movements from operators flying Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) or Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ).
We continue to improve our facilities in order to cater to larger aircraft and passenger numbers. The airport is based 40 miles from central London and is the UK's only dedicated business aviation airport. Our tailored services and facilities, together with easy access to London, provide a seamless travel experience.
Where are these BBJs and ACJs coming from?
The majority of these large cabin aircraft are coming from Asian countries and the Middle East. For example, we now have many Chinese registered aircraft here at Farnborough – something that only a couple of years ago you simply didn’t see in our market. Likewise, we are seeing an increase in Indian registered aircraft owned by large Indian multinational companies that are flying into London for business via Farnborough.
Last but not least, we are receiving more aircraft from Brazil, Singapore, Indonesia – and even the US.
