Did they ever get upgraded with the VIP suite or did they stay as airline spec ? I know (although haven't seen him for a while) one of the pilots who bought one of them back from Canada and im sure he will be interested in there whereabouts now

I remember at least one of the Fokker 100s departed to Norwich. I think it was unable to raise the gear so flew to Norwich gear-down.

Weren't there also American Airlines examples here at FAB at one stage. I wonder what happened to them? All 3 were ex US Airways not AA. As far as I remember, at least one flew out to Stansted. All 3 were originally parked on West 1 Apron, then later when repainted, they were on East Apron. Don't know what happened to them after that. It was certainly the intention of ARAVCO to convert them to bizjets.

Hm those dates are a bit suspicious. We moved into the new tower in Nov 2002 and they didn't arrive until about a year later to my recollection. Hang on though, I met a US Airways crew (captain, F/O and stewardess) on Christmas day 2003 and I remember telling them about the F100s, but not much more 'cos it was in a bar in Barbados, they were night stopping and invited us to join them at their table and the captain kept on about taking the Concorde (parked at Barbados) for a few circuits! (They were operating an A320) So those could be the dates they arrived at Farnborough. I have a photo I took from the tower of all 3 together on West 1 Apron somewhere, there may even be a date on it.
