Morning all
have just joined the FAG as a member. I have a request, not sure whether this is the correct place. My father in law has a glider flight this afternoon & I was wondering if there was an up-to-date list of stored aircraft for lasham
thanks in advance Mark

Hi Mark
This list is from the Airport Spotting Blog website and apparently was last updated on July 19th. I know we have some regulars on this FAB website who can most likely give you a complete up-to-date list.

9Q-CDC has gone, and I don't recall seeing the Saudi one last weekend But I don't read the 727s as got them almost 2 years ago - in Lasham Movements there is regular posts on the stored movements G-OSRB & G-OSRA have been around at Lasham lately, orange and white 727s for oil spill - you cant miss them

N280CS departed last week. The N reg (ex) FedEx 727 has yet to depart(?), the third of three. G-TOYG was exported in July, I know it returned from being painted, but not sure if it subsequently departed again? There is/was an ex Brazilian 737 nose section (?) by the black hangar. I am sure Phil will confirm?

On the 21 February 2013, I logged these: VP-BAA B727-500 G-TOYF/G/J B737-300 EI-EZM B737-800 - Can anyone confirm this, I don't remember seeing it but may well be true. It isn't stored I don't think M-FAHD B727-700 N279CS B737-300 - I think this has now left/changed I/D N280CS/281/282 N616SC/615SC B737-500 - Orange tail, like a tiger There was also others, PJPJ, and another 727 - another VP-B?? If I remember rightly

Mark - The 3 stored 727s you saw were VP-CMO, VP-CJN & VP-CZY. N908JE is long gone. If you saw an additional 727 to the right of those aircraft and beside the hangars this was N727EL which was visible from the gliding club side earlier in the week.
Dylan - EI-EZM is correct but also long gone. It originally arrived in Sky colours as TC-SKH and later became TC-SBE.

There is/was an ex Brazilian 737 nose section (?) by the black hangar TF-ELL a white B737 next to hangar opposite G-PJPJ So there are 2 painted up? G-OSRB still 'ex-Fedex' PJPJ was painted in US Air scheme when I saw it in April

I think that PJPJ was only painted on one side (port?)for the filming of the US Air Airbus ditching and is white on the other(why on earth didn't they just get an Airbus fuselage - and will the cockpit shots have a control column instead of the side stick?)

I started 35 years ago when I was 10, and I'm annoyed I still haven't seen every plane in the world. Must do better!

Oh and one I forgot Due Thursday - 5U-BAG B737-200 Phil Many thanks for the definitive list, Phil - always appreciated. Idle curiosity on my part re. the above : As Skyliner reports recent delivery of the République's new Boeing 737-75U(BBJ) (c/n 28976) 5U-GRN , I wonder of this arrival is for regular routine maintenance, or a last Hurrah of a classic 73.............

Almost as per Graham- started in 1962 aged 11 used to do trains and buses as well- but the planes took over- 1st wife was all for the hobby at first but used to give me a bit of a hard time when I went spotting. So I traded her in and got wife number two. Who is all for me going out on my "Air Therapy Days" She encourages me and even sat in the bedroom at the Renaissance at Atlanta for four days whilst I potted to my hearts content. Even brought me drinks to the balcony- so I did not miss anything- what a wife- I don't kick the backside out of it though, as I go to the match as well. Oh by the way thanks for the updates guys re the stored aircraft.!!!!! Happy Days Bob

You were a bit of a later starter then Dave, Sid must have started before you did? I distinctly remember driving one of my first cars to Reading, picked up Sid and others ( can't recall who now)and went to Heathrow.
