Gentlemen
Would a kind and knowledgable soul be able to provide a list of which of the above triples are dotted around the field as of today? An idea of which ones are still active would be useful, if known.
I have lost track a bit and would like to have a proper go at shooting a couple of these lovely old girls moving around if possible, this year.
Sorry to ask but any help would be much appreciated.
Graham

These 2 were both here in November and believed still here, and don't seem to move at all VP-CZY VP-CJN VP-BAA was in the scrapping area may well be gone by now. I'm sure our resident reporter will have an up to date list Martin

Boeing 727s currently on site at Lasham are:
VP-CJN VP-CMO VP-CZY G-OSRA 9Q-CDC
VP-BAA has indeed been scrapped.

Hmmm...lovely. Thanks.
I guess G-OSRA is the only one that has flown 'recently'. Wonder how far the others are from flying...excluding the 9Q surprise from WEF week!

I can recall seeing VP-CJN in the air some time in the early 2000s. And I seem to remember that either VP-BAA (or was it BAB?) was at one of the Farnborough air shows. If I remember correctly the DC-10 tanker was there as well (no it wasn't the 2012 show!) I will assume the VP-BA* 727 flew into FAB for that year's show. Can anyone remember which year that was please?

I think I remember the Dc10 ...N973VV, I think. I think I shot it at Fairford.
Will check my pics and try to find the year 2010 or 2008, I guess.

Regular B727 visitors include G-OSRA, HZ-SKI, M-FAHD and M-STAR, in addition to the static examples in 'Cayman Island Corner'.

So, are the four 727s in the main group all VP registered? Most lists now show there being just four 727s at Lasham including OSRA and the 9Q frame. Thanks

The VP- machines are VP-CJN, VP-CZY and VP-CMO. They have been joined (temporarily) by 9Q-CDC, and for a while, previously had N217FE for company, before it became G-OSRA.

I haven't been to Lasham for a while, but I believe 9Q-CDC was due to stay for around 3 months and wasn't due to be hangared. I haven't seen any reports of it having departed, so I expect it's still sat alongside the other 727s. Sorry I can't be more definite, but am sure a small detour on the way to Popham wouldn't go amiss.

A tail of a 727 was closest to the Basingstoke gate, but Mr Buster's driving meant that I couldn't tell which one it was, I was busy hanging on for dear life!
