Hi Can anyone remember the old brick pillbox that was near Eelmoor Bridge?. When did it go and is there any pics of it or of others that maybe here?

I remember sitting on the one on the left hand side after Eelmoor Bridge in the 60's/70's/80's as it offered a good view of what was happening on the other side of the fence. There was another one on the other side of the road. Not sure of the date that they were demolished, but I think it was at the same time that they cleared a great deal of the taller trees. I am not a member, but have found what Jeff mentioned here; www.pillbox-study-group.org.uk
