Hi Can anyone provide the ids of 2 IL62s at Farnborough on 9 Sept 96 ? (The day after the SBAC show ended) They used MGD.... callsigns. Many thanks Tony

I don't recall any IL62's on 9/9/96 but I did see three IL76s which were RA-76389,76759 & 76756 & Swedish C130 846.

MGD = MAGADAN who operated IL76

If it helps, the call signs of the IL76s that day were RA-76756 "EFR9771"; RA-76759 "MGD7191"; and the IL96M RA-96000 "AFL9601"

Oops, missed an IL76 RA-76389 that day which was calling "TUP9183"

Sorry meant IL-76s ! I do know the difference really! Was updating my russki database and had the IL62 page open when I posted the msg.

Hi Tony, Bit late on this, but please find the attached pic I took on the Monday evening after the 1996 SBAC show of the 2 IL76s which stayed over night (If I recall correctly). Its from my scanned slides so the quality is a bit iffy. The gold IL76 (which to me looks like ex-Libyan) is RA-76389 and the other one is RA-76759 which was in during the arrivals week also. Both are listed by Dave who has responded to your question. Hope this helps Chris
