Hi All, Here is another selection of scanned slides this time from the 1986 SBAC show. Again unfortunately the quality is not that great but hope you find them interesting. SBAC 1986 had very limited US military support just some helicopters and a weekend visit of the SR71. So this selection has a very much home grown or European flavour. Arrivals week. Cal Air BAe 146 The prototype ATP only weeks if not days after it's first flight. A lost Fantrainer nearly taxied down Wessex Road if I remember correctly The first time an AN124 appeared at Farnborough but only for static display Show Monday. This CAAC marked 146 was part of the BAe combine on the Monday only Some Static shots. Saudi AF marked Tornado Whatever happened to Norman aircraft? The Freelance & the Turbo Firecracker a failed contestant for the RAF trainer requirement won by the Tucano. Was this Partenavia's idea of a AWACS P68. Some Flying Shots The shape of things to come. The EAP demonstrator on it's only SBAC appearance. BAe's business aircraft combine, sad they cannot put on such displays today The A300 fly by wire demonstrator The first appearance of the Rafale this being Rafale A. Another early warning surveillance variant this time on a BN2 defender Hope you enjoy these & cheers for looking
