Tony .. some of you may already have this update info from the Home Office. Apparently they have reviewed, updated and circulated the following info to Police and Controlling Agencies re the Counter Terrorism Act and dealing with spotters and the taking of photos etc. It's no as bad as you'd expect. I found it on www.airportspotting.com .. go to their blog for Sept 10.2009. Their advice re keeping a copy in your photobag is good advice.

hi yes thanks for the information i was aware of a lot of things being said and was tempted to move this to another board to get responses but as we have done all this and been lot of bad feeling of late i will add only this.
There are many police ID scheemes in operation many work many dont because of lack of interest Both ways .the one here at FAB seems to be working up to a point but again what exactly it achieves is open to Question. problem with authoritys the police etc there are those that know all about spotters and give no Hastle there are those that think every person near any Facilty bus stations railway stations airports or even pointing a camera or just observing as a potential terrorist and brain immeadiatly uses up the one brain cell they have. Airport owners are really as much as they say they are not bothered about security as security goes more of privicy of there custumers hence the hastle lately over pictures taken but also this come down to no brain Spotters and the like only thing is "I NEED THAT REG AND PICTURE SO GET OUT OF MY Fffing way" and so it kicks off. I Have run Neighbourhood Watch for years and in local TAG one and frankly most of time i might as well not bother . when out i keep my driving licience on me and vehicle documents no knives or sharp things in the back in tool box etc dont back chat or argue just Nod head agree then walk away its not worth the Hastle
