Walking through Princess Mead this morning there were several notices about a forth coming event in front of Spec-savers: 6-10th January exhibition of TAGs hopes for the future, possibly worth a visit by local supporters

I Hope spotters will go along and Ask a few questions of TAG Like
When is TAG Aviation going to look after the local Aviation ENTHUSIASTS with an area we can use for watching and taking pictures instead of being treating like we have no right to be here, We joined the local Police Watch so whats in it for Us apart from the usual Airport propaganda Tour.

Interesting article Mr. Brown. Yesterday's Haslemere Herald contained a letter from R. Powell of Dukes Close, Farnham objecting to TAG's proposals and to urge all and sundry to write in and object most vehemently or else if the application is approved we will lose the little bit of tranquillity we have will be lost for ever. Perhaps this is the same person that stood up and complained at the meeting!

Having a voice to the TAG high command I note that aircraft enthusiasts are feeling hard done by way of a lack of suitable observation points. I make no promise here as to the result, but if those who raise the question could explain exactly what they would like, I will have no problem in putting said points directly to TAG high command. regards to all PB I have always thought of Manchester International as the yardstick of how to cater for aviation enthusiasts. Have a look at this link as to what is available to enthusiasts up there: www.tasmanchester.co.uk/Viewing_locations.htmlI know that it wouldn't be possible to replicate all of Manchester's observation points at Farnborough, but surely we could at least have an equivalent to MAN's Aviation Viewing Park down here.

I reckon I can see where this is going, I came across it in the U.S. Security/FBO's have a great deal of difficulty in getting their heads round the fact you are there to see the aeroplanes NOT (in this case TAG's) customers, who are all wealthy people and will not want to be seen around/boarding exec jets, especially now when the economy is in downturn'. But good luck with it anyway. Terry

Inbount Netjets flight 1958 could not land .This is another viction of the stupidity of Planning laws it went round open engines NOISE etc to divert when 1 or 2 minutes would have on the ground and saved Fuel , pullution. noise by giving it max 5mins to land , Surely they could allow that for a flight about to touchdown?
very very stupid rule this 2000 not 1 second after

I somehow thought it would have to divert as it was almost 20:00 hrs by our clock when I saw it downwind for 24. It makes you wonder what would happen in an emergency situation and FAB was the pilots best hope of getting the aircraft down safely. A case of land it and be damned?

Phill i can assure you there are Idiots watching everything at FAB 24\7 365 so all hell would break loose big fines etc. We had a person in our area part of a silent group . she has said to me that aircraft are in and out all night they see there lights you cannot convince them that we live in the busiest flight paths in the world you will always see lights in this area. i was told they note everything that goes in and out after hours and there been loads . saying has this been reported answer NO WE WOULD NOT BE BELIEVED my reply was because it does not happen thankfully no more because they moved to scotland fed up with Aircraft . but as we all know the ANTI EVERYTHING BRIGADE ARE WATCHING

Few notes
1 Farnham crondel area . Aircraft Noise very little apart from very high flying Liners the Odd WOKKA and light\bis which are pretty High. we have family there so we know.
2 Badshot lea area Same as above but You see hear FAB Circuit traffic but still high and fast gone .
BISLEY How can you complain about FAB there over the Almost continual Gunfire? any Inbounds to FAB are Fast and high. Plenty of liners overflying
BAGSHOT area LINERS + Lights + Few Heli liners are EGLL Climbers .
Queens Avenue area Aldershot : At the Army Show you could see FAB Landers Not hear LINERS Flying over very high + some Climbers : note end of Queens avenue there is a massive Housing Easate going up On FAB Perimeter why was this passed if unsafe flying area and noise.
Anyone add please there area:

In my previous life I was heavily involved with consultation. The fact that a group has organised themselves to leaflet drop and simplify the 'anti' protest does not automatically spell doom.
In this day and age any large proposal for planning has to placed into consultation and rightly so! Those that approve any application will have to take a balanced view, benefits to the local economy against pollution (noise, traffic, environmental etc).
If TAG have done their homework, they will have employed professional lobbyists to soften up the politicians both at a local and national level.
Flying is a very emotive subject and on the whole would expanding Farnborough blight its neighbourhood?
Personally, until Farnborough gets the protection of Controlled Airspace any expansion should be carefully managed. I know that a lot of work is going on in this direction, but ultimately this would need to be consulted and all airspace users can object, a bit like TAGs expansion plans.

The use of the SBAC Show picture was despicable having no bearing at all on the Aplication by Tag Aviation Farnborough being as the Next SBAC is not untill July 2010 and operates under a completly differant set of Rules which are strictly governed .This idea of a pre-filled statement Just add your Signature is commonly used these days mainly by the dailys. Unless you live in the Area served by the R.A.I.N \FARA or whatever they call themselves thesedays you are unlikly to know of there existance , before we moved to our present location we were very very close to the Airfield perimeter but no one ever complained or did anyone call on you to join . At the elections i often get asked have you any points you want to discuss try to mention the Airfield that your for it and they refuse to discuss with you as not there area but try to argue about the benifits and increased trade \jobs they dont want to know Rushmoor are well aware of my feelings ive had many chats over the years with planning dept read all the plans up there they had to find them for me .The anti get all the publicity and it seems various people are scared of loosing there seats than say WE SUPPORT THE AIRFIELD it will never Happen although it does seem our MP May be differant because attacks on him have been made in the press that he should support the majority view but the majority have never given or been asked or given the facts just Negative things
