It must be very sad for people living in Seale, Bisley, Crondell etc not being able to make full use of their gardens due to noise & pollution from traffic from Farnborough - WHY when aircraft from Farnborough should be at such a hight in these areas that it must be difficult to judge from which airport the traffic has originated from.
It does beg the question were these spokespersons speaking for the minority or the majority in their carchment area.
As for the man from Hart - he was anti increased flights but its his council that supports the redevelopment of Pystock - This will bring about far more polution & road congestion than any other development in the area.
Lets hope that there is an appeal process that will see sence to this situation

At last it would appear that TAG have launched their appeal
Farnborough Airport fights blocked expansion plans By Jack Sommers December 07, 2009
THE owner of TAG Farnborough Airport has lodged an appeal against the decision to block its plans to almost double the number of planes using the airport.
Council tax payers in Aldershot and Farnborough could be left with a hefty legal bill after TAG's boss said he could not rule out pursuing the company's costs - likely to run into hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Councillors sitting on Rushmoor Borough Council's planning committee last month decided to reject their own expert advice that TAG's request to increase flights to 50,000 a year should be allowed.
TAG Farnborough Airport had asked for planning permission to increase the cap on the number of flights allowed at the airport from 28,000 to 50,000 a year.
The appeal by TAG Farnborough Airport's legal advisors was lodged with the Planning Inspectorate at 9am on Monday.
Speaking to Get Hampshire on Monday, Brandon O'Reilly said he would not rule out asking the planning inspector to decide whether each party should pay their own costs, or force one side to pay all the costs of the likely lengthy planning inquiry.
Even if both sides pay just their own costs, Aldershot and Farnborough taxpayers are likely to have to foot a bill of at least £100,000 to pay for independent experts and legal counsel to back up their decision to block the expansion bid, after spending thousands on experts who concluded the exact opposite just a few months ago.

This looks like another long dragged out Saga more and more money going to the Lawyers and locals facing as was said a large biz on local rates. One of my local councillers voted for the Increase the other was not there bet first one not on many XMAS Card lists. Its Strange though all thats said about noise and Pulltion yet 2 very large housing estates and a multi Story hotel have been built on Former RAE Land . Rushmoor planners could not be that worried about these things . As for those Buying Houses here fully aware about an Airfield there is no excuse there for complaint , if you try to say i didnt now there was one here then advise is Seek Help to sue your agent and help for yourself memory failure. Peters Referances to Blackbushe problems rent a mob types etc are very true i remember long arguments with certain people and as soon as i heard this last Council meeting was in public with large audience some able to speak i knew Rent a mob was home and dry . Scared councillers even though they will say they were not its not how it appeared to me. Chairmans control over Bad mannered booing was appaling and to me this whole event should be struck from the records and declared Null and void but i doubt that even possible .
