I totally agree with eveyones posts, so much more could have flown, yes i know it is difficult but lets be honest this should have been a big celebration for the whole of the country. If not for the likes of Cody the olympians could not have flown to China!!! , Tonys comments on Thatcher are spot on. I made a special point of being there today and felt PROUD and a bit let down at the same time. ( re dep time for vulcan, roundabout 12.00 Saturday, this was told to me by a lady from the Vulcan trust ).

Hi Tony,
Andy mentioned two other Tiger's (G-AHOO/G-AOBX), where these on the ground? The thought the one I missed was G-APXI - hope you can clarify.
Cheers
Bill
P.S. out of interest the C-17 (ZZ174) was heading/climbing east this morning at 09.03....

Hi Tony,
Sorry to be a bore but on the list for the Cody fly past I think we have one too many Tiger's - I could have sworn there was the Rapide in the centre with 'two' tigers on each wing.
The Gipsy came along on its lonesome but I did not see a 'fifth' tiger.
Any chance of clarifying the 'flyers' from any of the photo's?
Cheers Bill

Latest on the Vulcan from the scene on Ashed . plenty of people all round it as i left at 1245 Rumour of a possible attempt to Take off at 1500 local . There were people looking at the undercarriage and Wheels cockpit door open and covers off. Best i could do with standard lens camera The Man Himself

The Vulcan will be staying in Farnborough for a couple of weeks due to problems with the brakes, I read this on saturday morning so did not go the the airfield to watch it leave. I personally enjoyed the display, I do agree we could have had some more british stuff flying. [img src="[/img] i15.photobucket.com/albums/a366/hurricaneharold/22-1.jpg"]

Hi Hurricane Harold,
Thanks for placing the photo's of the fly past. The piece that I am trying to clarify are the 'Tiger's' and their ID's. I was standing outside the FAST museum at the time so everything was directly above my head... I managed to get the Rapide (G-AGTM) and then I only got three of the Tiger's (G-APLU, G-AIXJ, G-APMX) but by looking at your shot of all five (Rapide in the centre) it looks like G-AHOO (second from left) and then G-AOBX, which would mean that one of mine was an error!
Can you possibly check your shot and read off all four of the Tiger's and let me know. Appreciate your help.
Cheers
Bill

Hi Folks,
Thanks to Hurricane Harold (Aaron) the four Tiger's in the Centenary fly-past were G-APLU, G-AHOO, G-AOBX and G-AIXJ, in that order from left to right as they flew towards us, up 06.
Thanks Aaron - much appreciated. Cheers Bill
