If flying was the language of man, soaring would be it's poetry.

Hello All On a Gliding Front this time.. Lasham is currently in the stages of getting approval for it's Glider Heritage Center. The US has one and so does Australia. So Lasham being the British (Or really the world) home of Gliding now has come to it's time when it gets a Musuem too! The Site will be on the south side on 27 end and you'll be able to see the site from the Closed gates on the east side on the road to the Village. A lot of Gliders are planned to be put in the musuem. Most of them Airworthy and regular flyers. From T21 Sedburgh to the K6 etc. It'd be worth watching this as it holds a lot of promise. Some good up close action with the airfield too! A link to the Public Powerpoint here www.lashamgliding.co.uk/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=O0tRS71QV_k%3d&tabid=59&mid=1347The Musuem should hopefully be open to the Public in 2013. And the Club is setting up a Charity for the assistance of building the Musuem. A little different. But some exciting news for Lasham Planesandthings

Well... we don't have too many vintage motor gliders at Lasham. I think the Motor Tutor may go in there, I don't think the Fournier RF-5 that we have in the main hanger is old enough to be vintage, 1970?. Expect quite a few T21's. Most of the K13's could be classed as Vintage and put in there too!
Will update when I have a bit more information and donation information. It's certinley shaping up to be a good little musuem. Better than the rotting aircraft that were on the side of 'The Avenue'
