Hi
While on my 2nd glider flight yesterday, 21st July, there were 2 black AS350 helicopters on the ground parked near the flyaero.com B737 at ATC. One was G-CDTD. Can anyone please supply the reg of the other, which took off heading south around 12.30ish?
Regards, Rob

Hi Guys - Did anything go Lasham - Gatwick around 12.30. It looked like 737 in the distance in Hindhead direction. Checked on Casper and nothing around at all from anywhere else that I thought could have tied in with this movement. Thanks in advance, Dave

Nice and fast on final approach as you would expect from such an approach and even the reverse thrust could heard in Buster Towers.

Wasn't a Lasham arrival at approx 1305
SE-RHX landed successfully at the second attempt. Ferried from CDG following incident where tyre shed a tread and damaged flaps - hence the flapless landing

The 1st go around was like a Hornet missing the wire on a carrier. The 2nd landing- well - let's just say what he was missing in flaps he made up for in brakes.

very interesting! I idnt realise he wuld be able to do that. Do the CAA allow transits of damaged aircraft? Do they have to file any particular flight plans or have emergency services on standby? Or am I just totally ignorant and it wasnt an issue because planes fly like that every day?
Just curious! Thanks.

Such a flight requires various Approvals, firstly from the Manufacturer, and then the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and finally from the country of registration.
ATC Lasham has its own fire service which attends every arrival and departure in any event so no additional emergency services required.

I have to listen to something whilst preparing this winters TRUCE material! Mr Freighters (seemingly) startled voice as the Viking went around reminded me of a certain level bust at Lambourne that we re-visited last winter whilst focusing upon weather and the effects it has on our operation!

Is that what is was it delayed the bbmf display up the road! It was partly delayed by the Odiham Families day as there was restricted airspace, especially whilst the Tornado was flying. In the end it was just given a wide berth of Odiham soon after the BBMF display.
