Explosive device found at airbase
A "suspected improvised explosive device" has been discovered at an airbase
in Wiltshire.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) said the device was found in a vehicle by a
sniffer dog at RAF Lyneham.
An explosives ordnance team is at the scene and has begun to clear the area
around the suspect item.
BBC Bristol understands the alarm was raised when a vehicle was found near
the perimeter fence.
However, the MoD said it was too early to give details.
