Not sure what the event is called, but noticed on the Vulcan To The Sky website that XH558 is confirmed as a flypast item on the 11th July.
Should scare the bejesus out of the locals!

I will be there. I hope the Vulcan is still flying and makes an appearance. Must be en-route another display/venue.
Rumours of talkdownman hosting "Spot the Target" on his modern radar display have yet to be confirmed though!

All are welcome..we look forward to seeing you there.
All being well the Vulcan will do a fly by and maybe a bit more, and there are a number of other delights to savour.

The Vulcan is due at Yeovilton Air Day which unfortunately coincides ...and is shown as on the ground as well as flypast. ATC gets my vote .and if you are free you can always go to practice Friday at Yeovilton...fantastic views from the free field at the end of the runway -if wind is SW- but take your wellies as its usually full of sheep and their s**t.

It is not an air show. It is a maintenance and repair organisation (MRO) open-day. I went to that and what an excellent day it was too. I had a fascinating discussion with someone from ATC who was willing to talk about things in detail I had no right to expect. There was an air display in the afternoon, and I thought even that was excellent. I would love to be able to chat with some of the regulars on here so will definitely be over there again. I didnt mean to insult you by calling it an airshow, but will keep well out of the way of your minibus, in case you fancy target practice! I'm fairly sure the Vulcan will be doing a fly past on its return to Leicestershire from Yeovilton. May not be very long, but welcome nonetheless. Just have to persuade the wife that we should swerve the Odiham village fete now!

Any news on other participitiants? Have only been to the first open day they held, only 3 jets present in the hangars that day, how things have changed! Will those currently present be photographable that day or are the public being kept away from that side of the hangars??
