From the information I have, it is this Wednesday (23/7). Does anybody have any information on attending aircraft or display items? Last years display was actually quite good for those in the area!
Thanks
Paul

I was wondering, I assume because it is not a public flying display, that means they don't have to validate? Or am I wrong on that, and they just don't bother because nobody is looking?!

Where is a good place to view? Not lived around here too long to be familiar with vantage points.

you could also try the layby on the road off the Alton Road that goes to Well, near Long Sutton. It was excellent last year, although I imagine it will be busy. It has a good view of the whole field and the display is mostly above you.

"Nothing in life is free", or so they say! Not in the case of the Odiham families day! Had a brilliant view and met talkdownman by chance for the first time. What a great afternoon. Nice to see a VC-10 do a go-around before the scheduled start.

Gutted. I got called out on a site visit half way across London and couldn't watch. The only saviour to my frustration was this evening after 6 when I got home, I heard a roar, watched a Typhoon shoot straight upwards then back down from heaight at great speed and fast pass before rocketing away home. I felt better then! Glad to hear it was good though guys!

Free, no hassle from police etc. Get yourself a good vantage point and enjoy the fruits of our taxation!
Typhoon display kind of frightened my 4 year old who had never experinced a jet fighter directly overhead with re-heat on before! Mind you 10 minutes later she was happliy watching Shaun the Sheep on her portable DVD in between display routines!
She has been cycling up and down our drive subsequenly claiming she is part of the Red Arrows! Brain washed already!
See you next year....I cannot wait!

Has anybody tried getting to the show at Odiham? Did it at Benson about 8 years ago, just turned up and got in no problem at all , but that was before 9/11 et all. I had heard that a nice letter to the pr office has produced tickets in the past, a sob story about your grandad being there in the war and wanting to revisit has worked before!
