MY POPHAM TRIP VIA LASHAM

I'm sorry if I offend anyone but I don't normally post in this manner but I had a harrowing day yesterday.
I left home on Saturday full of enthusiasm looking forward to my visit to the Microlight Trade Fair at Popham. Not a very promising day weather wise.
First stop the village gate at Lasham. Here I met 5 fellow enthusiasts of around my own vintage years. There were 2 really nice guys from Cambridge. We all looked from the gate. A car of spotters roared up and jumped out; not good enough for them to view from over the gate and off they went into the private adjacent field. Sad these bigots don't know the meaning of the word respect.
Time to move on to the other side. For some unknown reason known only to myself I went via the narrow Lasham Hill track. I always assume there is an amber signal at the start of this track and proceed with caution. I just got to the sharp right hand bend when 2 car loads of spotters came at a rate of knots towards me. I was doing virtually 0 mph in anticipation, they didn't even ease up. The bastards drove me off the road into the ditch. They were obviously from somewhere away otherwise they would have been familiar with the hazards of this track.
I say thank you, you totally inconsiderate bastards.
I got out of the ditch and stopped further up the road and got out to view the hedge and discovered how hard the wind was blowing and that I was standing in the wrong direction.
Onwards to the Clubhouse car park where I sat and tucked in to my lunch box goodies whilst a heavy sqaull passed through. The rain stopped and up to the fence where I met the Cambridge guys again.
Back down the road to the Basingstoke Road end. Parked up by the green telephone cabinet and walked up to the gate. There were 4 cars parked up by the camera post. Why are these so called spotters to bloody lazy to park down the lane and walk up. I always do it and I walk with a stick.
I got back down to the car and the rain came in hard again and looking across it looked pretty solid so I made the decision not to head for Popham and return home totally pissed off.
My intention was to make the trip over today but sadly my enthusiasm said no.
I say an enthusiast enjoys his hobby and has respect for his fellows but spotters have to see everything at all costs and couldn't give a S**t for anyone but them self.
