Rather a big outlay for a piece of tarmac that is in theory only going to be used for a maximum of 10 days out of 730 !

Hi All, Couple of thoughts on this, but as I don't exactly know where Gulley Road is situated, so I could be way off. 1) Is the A380 only static at this years show? They have put concrete hard standing for a static B777 just past where the US military stuff is usually parked, so maybe something similar here. 2) glass half full idea... 2 A380s one for the flying display (usual demonstrator on end of 29 runway) and one on delivery in static. 3) If the hard standing is north side have they just got fed up with the taxiing palaver each year so it has somewhere to park after it's display without needing to back track. If anyone knows where Gulley road is they can probably eliminated a couple of those ideas. Food for thought, I guess this is becoming an SBAC 2012 item sorry TaTa

Hello Tony, Thanks for the link. From where the marker was placed when I entered Gulley road it appears to be around where the US military stuff usually gets parked. So I guess my option 1 or 2 seem the most likely. Hopefully my glass half full option Watch out for the cement mixers and see where they go! TaTa
