Hey all
Me and 2 friends are visiting Lasham on a little road trip around the southern airports in 2 weeks, just wondering where the photo places are (if they is any?) to get photos of stuff around the hangers. Hope someone can help me
Many thanks Regards Danny

Hi Danny,
I'm not a regular visitor to Lasham but I know of only three vantage points where you could get some reasonable shots - I'm not a photographer but I suspect you'll need a pretty powerful lens because the distances are quite big...
Anyhow, the best way to discribe this is for you to go onto the LAAS site - tab on 'ports of call' and then drop down to Lasham. Let the graphic open up - which is a google map - then zoom in. There are two small entry sites which are basically either side of the hangars - just follow the perimiter of the airfield and you'll see them. The third point is from the car park of the Gliding club which also has a very nice coffee shop where you can grab food and drink and watch the movements at the same time.... Its sign posted once you get there.
Sorry I can't be more scientific, if you need any hints on other fields to visit consider; Odiham, Popham, Blackbushe, Fairoaks, Farnborough, Middle Wallop, Hook, White Waltham and of course Heathrow.... Some are friendly whilst others not so but depending on your preference I'm sure there will be enough to keep you busy.
Hope this helps.
Bill

Jonezi Why don't you post up a proposed itinerery and ask for comments/info, instead of doing it one airfield at a time ;D. Have fun Terry
