A very brief visit saw 4 aircraft noted here of which two I could not identify:
The Chinook on the fire dump...is it even real?
An AA-5 to the right of fire dump with a foreign flag on it...didn't quite recognise the country.
Finally, how many RAF motor gliders are based here, and which ones are they please?
Cheers Alexis

The Chinook is real - it's 9229M, ex ZA678. The light aircraft to the right of the fire dump is Siai-Marchetti S208 D-EFZC. Not sure what the current Vigilants are.

The fire dump you mention, are you talking about the rust coloured chinook sat out in the open on the airfield or do you mean the couple of airframes tucked away in a compound by the tower? If it's the one out in the open then it's not a real aircraft - just a steel mock up for fire training. The ones in the compound are 9229M as mentioned above and the centre fuse of Ex argie AE-520.
