I've found this interesting old photograph in my collection. It was taken at Lasham at about 6.30 one Sunday evening. I don't have a date for it but it was at a time when I decided it was easier to watch aircraft, as you could do that from your own garden rather than chase about all over the country after trains! I reckon it's late 1980's, early 90's. Did any of you other good folk happen to see this incident? I notice that the aircraft is still flying and in a black and white colour scheme. I have quite a few old ones from Popham, Lasham and various places, it's just a question of time, etc. to produce them.

Talkdownman's first "talk down"!
Made a bit of a mess of that Renault 5! I wonder if the Robin lost the ability to steer or brake? Hopefully no one was injured.

Talkdownman, I sincerely hope you practiced on a MoA(Minair) Dove before you did your Connie. I certainly did. I think mine was G-ALFU Hurn , May 1965. I went on to greater things at Renfrew including BEA Herons(G-ANXA/B). Every time I said, 'check your wheels are down and locked' they would reply, 'wheels down and welded'.
