Two lunchtime visitors at Lasham today. A Europa registered to an owner who lives in Brecon and a Motor Falke operated by the RAF Gliding and Soaring Society which is Halton based.

G-OSRA B727 has been up on a sortie this afternoon, landing back at 16:20 following a left hand visual circuit onto 27.

As a matter of interest, are there many more helicopter movements at Lasham? And, does this have an impct on the gliding activities?

I haven't heard many squirrel maintenance flights, but 'Titan' come and go regularly now they are based.

They appear to be calling the LGS VHF frequency well in advance of any movements and then operating low level mainly from the south west, similar to the Squirrel maintenance movements did and all in accordance with Visual Flying Rules and under the Rules of the Air, a helicopter must give way to a glider.

Thanks for all your answers, I did wonder how they would work it, since the helicopters wouldn't need the services of Farnborough ATC for approach positioning.
