Cost of operating the 125s is reputedly £4000 per hour and the 146s £5000 per hour...... Plus i think the 125 are used more by ministers and senior military staff rather than royals.

146s , 125s. If they ever want new ones, to buy "British" they would have to buy a BN-2 (or are they Romanian now?)
I suppose a borrowed (chartered) Cessna will have to do

HS125s are now made by Yanks (they call them 'hawkers') Don't think anyone is making Bae146s these days, what about spares? What do we make ourselves these days? Maybe an Airbus type, where we do, at least contribute the wings, and you could select a Rolls-Royce engine to power it.

A pair of Airbus wings then, with a RR engine either side, and seats on the wings - " Great Britain's new "Royal Flight"
