hi spent a few hours at Odiham today (27/10):-
ZA718/BN SHF501 XZ608 Lynx overshoot back to Wallop AAC675 ZJ246 Squirrel over shoot AAC703 ZA712/AT "Foxtrot03" ZH901/- SHF427 ZA720/AW SHF544
ZK550/- Chinook Callsign boeing3 ZH899/- SHF426
I missed a few chinook departures, e.g SHF550 and SHF480 (unless this was BN again under a different call sign)
nice to see ZK550
also Chinook Bravo November did a circuit with an under-slung human payload - 5 Soldiers dangling from a rope - a very eerie sight to me but I guess they have had some special nutter training.
(a NAX B733 over flew - either into or out of Lasham)
Cheers Mike

Mike
I was just about to post a log from this afternoon but was trying to get conformation of the ZK5.. machine and you just posted it.
As for the dangling men ,That was weird ,will try and post a photo ,Didn't see anyone else in the layby except hundreds of ladybirds !!!
Norshuttle was LN-KKD

Mike
Do you know which Chinook uncoded was hovering on the south side for about 20 mins then did a circuit while BN was preparing to lift the men

Hi
That would have been SHF499 which I 'fluffed' - it did 'look' like ZA70? so I wasn't too bothered.
(I am a bit gutted at SHF550, as ZH896 is my last RAF Chinook and although I heard it on the box I did not get a good view of it departing. At least I now know it is in service)

ZH901 came down over me in Southampton, went to BOH looking at P.V's report for yesterday. Grandad needs this one (I think), and I've seen it about 5 times! Dylan

Hi Dylan, I was out and about on the 29th and as I was joining the A303 west of Basingstoke, ZH901 went across the road at no more than a hundred feet.
