Given that the RAF are retiring the last VC10s today, it's perhaps a shame that their fairwell trip didn't include a 'beat up' of Brooklands and Wisley.
Oh hum, can't beat a bit of wholly appropriate nostalgia.

146 rebuilt as a tanker. The OO- that have gone to the RAF as transports have had a mid-life upgrade to keep them in service until 2025. Bae are proposing an aerial tanker as a Ryanair option for refueling.
I will post my Brize photos tomorrow or Monday!

I thought the OO 146s were being used as freighters within the RAF not tankers, thats the first reference I've seen to them being drogue equipped !

ZA147. Vc10 XV303. C130K ZE705. Tristar
Parked elsewhere in sight
One other Vc10 - hopefully ZA150 - my photo not conclusive. Parked almost head on.
ZZ171 c17 ZZ172 c17 ZZ177 c17 - AAC Lynx outside ready for loading/practice loading
ZZ330. A330 G-VYGG. A330
CS-TQY. A340 Hi Fly - all white CS-TQP. A330 Hi Fly - all white

Perhaps tomorrow's final flight to Dunsfold may, after all, provide Brooklands and Wisley a final opportunity to see the last of their products in its element. It'd be a nice touch if it did.

Morning Chaps,
Well for what it's worth I've been tracking ZA150 which is currently in the air as RR859 at FL220 just coasting out north of Middlesborough heading in a northeasterly direction cruising at 470mph (she's slowed down a bit).
They may be retired - but did someone forget to tell ZA150!!!
G'awd bless her....
Bill
