Was this the last time anything was allowed to fly over the Crowd . this is now a very Definite trend that's been noticed very much the last 2 shows Flying has gone further away from the crowd than ever making some displays Rather distant . Many people I Have spoken to over past few years would like a return to September Shows they seem to think it was moved because of Safety concerns when in fact it was moved to allow more time between Farnborough and Paris Shows . now of course it Clashes with RIAT weekend .Safety i don't think has ever been an issue here everything seems so well organised with Safety committee and briefings long before event and now you have an Airfield with the most modern Nav aids there is .

Farnborough hasn't been a "real" air show for many, many years sadly and there's no reason to suspect the next one will be any better. Lack of aeroplanes and health and safety the primary causes....

My parents used to attend Farnborough airshow regularly and were there on the day of the crash, they have a few photos of the static and a couple of the Brabazon and Beverley in flight, when I find a scanner that does some sort of justise to these I'll post them. They used to cycle from Ealing to the show and return the same day

The best part of the airshow for me is the week before and the couple of days after the show, the show itself I find quite boring as there is a bit of "deja vu" about it with one flying display very much like the next days. The Weekend gives a bit of variety though

The SBAC show has not been the same since it moved from September to July. The weather in September was always........interesting to say the least!
