OK I'll break the silence! As an old Farnbrovian I contribute to various other forums about my time at the RAE. I was contacted by the guy who runs this website www.historicfarnborough.co.uk/and asked for any photo's/memories about the airfield. One of the main guys who has documented the RAE's final years is Pete Cooper. He has produced some marvelous books on the subject too. I'm sure that or friend "Acefreighters" if he is who I think he is will remember him too. Rgds Cking

The Website is known to me and carrys a link to group website. I will write a bit for the website as soon as i can . not just about FAB but Concept 2000 as well. incidently you got a marvellous view of the Field from roof . No pictures were allowed as a very Secure Building.

cking.. Acefeighters is AC, ex Heathrow ATC. Were you one of his work colleagues? If so, have we met?

Ah controller, I must be mistaken. The person I thought he was was an aircraft tug driver at the RAE. He was obssed with old piston engine airliners (Not that there is anything wrong with that) and one of the old operators he used to go on about was Acefreighters. When I saw your collegues "Monika" I thought it must be him.

OK.. No, Acefreighters (on here) was a Heathrow ATC Man most of his days, albeit with a deep love of old aeroplanes. You might still hear his dulcet tones if you fly into Lasham..
