Unless they have opened up the production line again I suppose they would have to be think both are QC aircraft and its been found that they are a perfect fit for the older Hercs now that the RAF have the Bigger C17 uplift available. Shame the RAF didnt buy them new when BAe offered a military version (think one appeared at Farnborough one year in military guise) end of the day doing it this way is a lot cheaper

If the RAF had ordered from new, and due to the crazy procurement process, they would have ended up with six engines and be low wing, therefore cost the nations £bns in development costs. I guess when you are retiring 40-50 year old VC10s, 20 years is close to 'new'!
From memory, TNT had intended to order hundreds of the dedicated freighter version, then came the recession in 1991 and Gulf War 1. I think the group ended up with only around 40? One of many nails in the 146 coffin sadly.
I knew a good number of employees in the design team at Hatfield, the best were employed by the then fledgling Embraer when production and design was moved to Manchester. All their expertise was not wasted in a country wishing to expand their aviation industry.

Makes crewing easier and their training (initial and recurrent) , but a bit of a shock for the pilots used to flying PM and Lizzy about!

Can't see the cargo being any less talkative than the bung-meister or the inbred's.
